About us

Who is ProyectoPeru

Embark on a journey with Proyecto Peru, a story that began in 2005 in the heart of Cusco. Proyecto Peru stems from the dream of a local Peruvian woman, Dora, who envisioned spreading the Spanish language and contributing meaningfully to her community. Evolving her dream, Dora, alongside her life and business partner Coen, has built a network of kind-hearted individuals dedicated to realizing this vision.

Together with our international team of professionals, Proyecto Peru is committed to providing enriching cross-cultural experiences. Our volunteer and internship programs offer a unique journey into Cusco’s social, health, and educational systems. We facilitate connections between dedicated volunteers and partner projects, schools, agencies, clinics, nonprofits, animal shelters, and after-school programs in need of specific skills.

Immerse yourself in our culture through our accommodation and Spanish teaching options, encouraging you to live and speak like a local. Our thoughtfully selected tours invite you to explore the historic beauty of Cusco and its surroundings.
